5.3 Earthquake Hits Murcia in Spain
May 11 2011: An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the richter scale struck Murcia today. Centred around the town of Lorca the earthquake was felt throughout the Murcia region. It appears there have been several deaths in the town caused by falling debris.
The closest resort to Lorca at Condado de Alhama felt the tremor for around 3 seconds. There are no reports of damage there. Other resorts in the region are further from the epicentre of the earthquake but we will post any further updates for owners based abroad and concerned about potential property damage.
